Rebecca joined IQ Glass in 2012 and has overseen our technical communication for many years. She is responsible for all business development across the US and Caribbean and spends a lot of time in the US speaking with architects and helping them find solutions for their projects.

Dan Borthwick  

Dan has worked with IQ Glass since 2014, focusing on technical sales. He is now the MD of the regional offices of IQ Glass and leads all technical sales activities in the US. Don’t mistake him for his identical twin John who also works at IQ Glass!

Andy Slatford 

Andy joined the team at IQ in 2015 with a strong history in international procurement and project management. Andy oversees all international glazing projects including the US. He has completed projects across the world including the Caribbean, India, Dubai, Switzerland and beyond.  

Our glazing products are engineered in the UK, using only the highest quality glass from across Europe. European glass has a well-established reputation for clarity and quality, offering high levels of transparency and extremely large unit sizes.  

All our glazing systems are fully tested for the US market, offering robust performances from thermal insulation to hurricane certification.  

These systems are then backed by the in-house engineering power at IQ Glass, designing glass installations uniquely for each project we are a part of.  

Projects undertaken by IQ Glass have been recognised within many prestigious architectural award schemes such as the RIBA Award, the Manser Medal and the International Design and Architecture Awards.

IQ Glass is an evolution of Glasszone which was founded in 2001. 

Glasszone specialized in custom made structural glass designs for offices and commercial buildings throughout London.  

The company was highly successful and worked on iconic projects throughout London such as Centre Point and Somerset House, creating custom-made frameless glass installations for these buildings.  

In 2010, as our reputation grew, we started receiving requests from architects for our expert structural glass designs for their private house projects. We then realised that there was a gap in the market for a highly technical structural glazing company within the private residential sector. That is when IQ Glass was born.  

IQ Glass was founded in 2010 with a focus on structural glazing and minimally framed windows and doors in the private residential market. We were the pioneers of our market offering a unique combination of structural glazing, slim framed sliding doors and all associated glazing providing architects with one supplier where they could source all their glazing. Within four years, we became the first choice for architects working on luxury houses and were listed in the London Stock Exchange top 100 fastest growing businesses.  

IQ installed our first international project in 2011 for an existing client who had our systems installed in their London home which they wanted to replicate in their US property. This then led to the setup of our international division which works on projects across the mainland US and Caribbean.  

Thanks to our strong background in structural glazing, we quickly became the market leader for architectural glazing and are internationally recognised as a highly sought after partner for high specification house builds across the globe. The group now turns over $40million annually with a strong purpose-built infrastructure to support large scale residential builds. 

In 2024, we became an employee-owned company, securing the future of the business and ensuring every employee has a financial stake in our success to support our ambitious growth plans.

IQ Glass works with architects and specifiers to assist in the specification of custom-made glazing on their projects from an early stage. Our early design stage services allow architects to receive the latest information and options as to what is possible with their design.  

When you are happy with our offering then an order is placed with us for the work and we will undertake all the technical drawings, to showcase how our custom-made glazing will fit into the building structure being built.  

We can offer a range of delivery and installation options depending on the project and site requirements. These range from full delivery and installation to ex-works. These will be discussed with you from an early stage to ensure you get the service you need.
